In our parish, preparation for a sacrament is a two-year process. Typically, preparation for the sacrament of Confirmation begins in seventh grade, and Confirmation is administered in the eighth grade. In general, children who have not been in religious education in the past year will be placed in seventh grade.
Each sacramental preparation program requires regular Sunday Mass attendance, participation in a retreat, and participation in several parent/student meetings.
